Last weekend, Dr. Yorgey was at the Pink Tie Gala held in the convention center to raise money for breast cancer research. There was a crowd of at least 600 people enjoying an evening of food and dancing, but the main attraction was nine breast cancer survivors who have never danced before performing a ballroom dance routine with partners supplied by Rigby’s dance studio of Richmond. Dr. Yorgey is proud to say that he was one of the dancers to perform with one of the survivors. He and his partner danced a fox trot to Michael Bublé’s “Moon Dance” and received a great ovation. Hopefully a video of the dance will be made available and we will post it so all can see.
